To celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee the children dressed in red, white and blue and spent the morning learning about the Queen and what she did during a specific decade of her reign. Some children did some writing pretending to be the Queen recalling the coronation in 1953 while others created a class picture in the style of Andy Warhol from the 1980s.
The afternoon kicked off with a sharing assembly where some children shared their home learning and the work they had completed in class. We then all moved outside for a little picnic on the field where the children got an opportunity to chat about all the exciting activities they were going to do to celebrate the jubilee.
