Golden Rules

At The Gateway we have seven golden rules that are core to our values as a school.  The Golden Rules are revisited with the pupils on a regular basis through assemblies and circle times and always re-set with the pupils at the beginning of the autumn term.

 

Our Golden Rules are linked to our whole school golden time system. On a Friday we hold a 'golden time' assembly where we celebrate children have consistently followed the golden rules, shown excellent learning behaviours and have demonstrated the school values.

 

All children across the school choose from a range of activities to complete during their golden time, for example: art activities, outside games, cup stacking, music, volley ball. They then participate in these activities with other children across the school and it is a great time for us to come together as a community to celebrate our learning over the week.
