Sports & Physical Development

Physical development is an important part of our commitment to promoting healthy, active and successful learners. Through a wide range of sporting clubs, competitions and leadership opportunities, children develop perseverance, teamwork and positive attitudes towards physical activity.

Our Play Leader programme provides older pupils with opportunities to support younger children through organised games and activities, strengthening relationships and encouraging responsibility. Inclusive participation is a key priority, ensuring that all pupils can access opportunities regardless of background or ability.

Through structured play, enrichment activities and leadership experiences, pupils develop confidence, social skills and resilience. Evidence gathered through pupil voice surveys demonstrates that children value opportunities to be active, work collaboratively and contribute positively to school life, helping create a happy, inclusive environment where all children feel safe, supported and valued.
