Creativity, performance and self-expression are central to life at The Gateway Primary Academy. Pupils benefit from whole-class violin and ukulele tuition through the Mick Jagger Red Rooster music provision, choir opportunities across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 delivered by a parent, and inspiring song writing linked to Nathan Timothy's Bully Beat programme. As well as some working with Nathan to achieve the first ever ABRSM award, demonstrating both commitment and musical excellence.
Our annual whole-school Christmas production is a highlight of the year, with every child participating through acting, singing, dancing or musical performance. Families and community members play an active role, strengthening connections between home and school.
Through these experiences, pupils develop confidence, resilience, communication skills and cultural awareness. Pupil feedback consistently highlights performance opportunities as memorable experiences that build self-belief and foster a strong sense of pride in themselves and their school community.
